•  Variable-Depth Engraving of Outline Fonts in GibbsCAM 2024

Explains the Mill Contour Engraving mode for cutting outline-font geometry with a taper-tipped tool while varying depth to produce cleaner, more consistent lettering.

•  Rotary Axis Probing in GibbsCAM 2024

Shows how the Generic Probing Rotary Axis process measures rotary-part alignment and positioning and can return measurement data or apply a supported correction.

Model Analysis and Tooling

•  Analyze and Select Model Features Faster in GibbsCAM 2024

Covers curvature and taper-angle color maps, Alt-based Virtual Points and coordinate interrogation, and visible-edge selection for faster model analysis and geometry selection.

•  Tool Cutting Data, CoroPlus, and Mill Form Tools in GibbsCAM 2024

Summarizes tool- and process-level cutting data, supported CoroPlus Tool Library imports, and user-defined Mill Form Tool programming parameters that retain the form profile for rendering.

Posting, Licensing, Setup, and Reuse

•  Post Configuration Inputs and Workfixture Restrictions in GibbsCAM 2024

Explains post-supplied standard and custom inputs on the Post dialog Configuration tab and the Restrict Workfixtures controls used to limit workfixture-offset selection.

•  Reprise License Manager in GibbsCAM 2024

Highlights the change from CimLM to Reprise License Manager and directs local and network-license environments to the appropriate registration and server procedures.

•  Part Setup and Intermediate Tooling Improvements in GibbsCAM 2024

Reviews expanded part orientation and positioning options plus the redesigned Intermediate Tooling fixture workflow for filtering, stacking, repositioning, and simulation.

•  Reuse Process Lists More Reliably in GibbsCAM 2024

Explains how saved Process Lists map referenced system coordinate systems to equivalent systems in a target part when the source and target use the same MDD.

Rotary Orientation and 5-Axis

•  Control Rotary Orientation at Singularities in GibbsCAM 2024

Describes the At-Singularity Starting Alignment choices used to control rotary orientation when the tool aligns with a rotary axis in polar, positioned, or 5-axis operations.

•  GibbsCAM 2024 5-Axis Surface, Mesh, and Wireframe Enhancements

Covers Project Curves Run tool controls, Dynamic Holder Collision avoidance, mesh-based calculation updates, the 2-Axis Contouring wireframe strategy, and clipping avoidance.

•  GibbsCAM 2024 5-Axis Roughing, Finishing, Rotary, and Swarf Improvements

Summarizes extended roughing cuts, tilted Adaptive helical entries, finishing start-point control, optimized Rotary finishing stepover, and Swarf gouge-avoidance relinking or retracting.

How to Use This Directory

•  Select an article title to open the current published Knowledge Base article.

•  Review the article's prerequisites and module or machine dependencies before following its procedure.

•  Validate regenerated toolpath, simulation, machine behavior, and posted output before applying a new capability to production work.

•  Return to the linked Knowledge Base folder to see later revisions or additional GibbsCAM 2024 articles.

Troubleshooting

•  Problem: An article link does not open.

Cause

•  The Knowledge Base address changed or the article is temporarily unavailable.

•  A browser, firewall, or network policy is blocking the Freshdesk site.

Resolution

Open the linked What's New in 2024 folder and select the article by title. If the folder is also unavailable, verify network access or contact CAMCO Support.

•  Problem: A feature described in an article is not available in GibbsCAM.

Cause

•  The installed version or build is not GibbsCAM 2024 or later.

•  The feature requires a licensed module, compatible MDD, supported process, updated post, or specific geometry and selections.

Resolution

Confirm the installed build and licensed modules, then review the article's Before You Begin section. Test with a compatible machine and process before changing production data.

•  Problem: The article procedure does not match the current interface.

Cause

•  A later GibbsCAM build or customized interface changes the command location.

•  The active workspace, machine definition, process, or selection changes which controls appear.

Resolution

Use the named command or option rather than relying only on its position. Confirm the active setup and consult the article's Additional Information or contact CAMCO Support when the control remains unavailable.
